 Kicking Curriculum

The following are the first nine kicks that students learn at Tampa Kung Fu.

  1. raising kick

  2. hang kick

  6. uprooting kick
  7. side raising kick
  8. round kick
  9. side kick
  1. tai tui
  2. gua mian jiao
  3. bai lian tui
  4. tan tui
  5. fu ren jiao
  6. chao tui
  7. ce tai tui
  8. quan jiao
  9. ce chuai

Figure ten hands is the hand position while kicking.

Keep the knee straight as you swing your toe toward your forehead.

1. Rising Kick-tai tui

 

Swing kick picture coming, the leg swings in the opposite direction of the hang kick.

2. hang kick-gua mian jiao

3. swing kick-bai lian tui

 

Point your toe as you snap your foot out. Push your heel forward at the level of your knee.

4. spring kick-tan tui

5. axe blade kick-fu ren jiao

 

uprooting kick -chou tuiKick your foot as if you are kicking a ball. The heel should scrape the ground as you kick your foot out. Keep your knee straight and swing your leg up and down.

6. uprooting kick-chao tui

7. side raising kick-ce tai tui

 

Round kick picture coming. The posture is similar to the side kick.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Keep your back straight and kick with your heel and the blade of your foot.

8. round kick -quan jiao

9. side kick-ce chuai
